This posting is to establish a pre-qualified pool of applicants (applicant inventory) who will be eligible to apply on full-time, permanent part-time, and temporary positions in Income Assistance offices in the following locations: Trail, Merritt, Nelson, Cranbrook, Williams Lake, Oliver, Powell River, Quesnel, Salmon Arm, Sechelt, Prince George, Prince Rupert and Hope.
<P>Important Note: The Ministry also currently has another separate Inventory Posting for most of our other locations throughout the province. Should the locations you would be willing to accept employment all be listed above, you need only apply to this posting. EAWs determine eligibility for assistance and deliver modern, consistent, accessible, and secure income and disability assistance services to assist British Columbians overcome social and economic barriers to independence. <P>
Conflict resolution and interview skills would be an asset in this challenging position when working with sensitive situations and distressed clients facing a personal crisis. The EAWs provide services in a virtual office environment either over the phone or face to face. Qualifications for this role include: <P>
• Secondary School graduation or equivalent <P>
• Significant experience delivering a high standard of customer service in a high volume, fast paced, rapidly changing environment (in-person, via virtual technologies or over the telephone), recent experience is preferred. <P>
• Sound experience working with various computer applications including MS Word, Excel and Outlook <P>
