JOB TITLE: INDIGENOUS REINTEGRATION WORKER (I.R.W.)

SCOPE: The IRW will provide release planning options to inmates serving a provincial sentence at the PG Regional Correction Centre.

PROFILE: The IRW will be a mature and diplomatic professional who can relate to and support clients within a high stress environment. The candidate must possess the ability to address factors that lead to crime and have the skills to assist clients create a release plan that supports healing and reduces risk of recidivism.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A combination of post- secondary education with life experiences OR A mature individual with life experiences supported by sound judgement, and a practical knowledge of the justice system.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30pm. 35 hours per week @ $25.00 per hour, starting wage.
