Team Lead - Community Connector

Description:

PGNAETA is seeking a motivated individual for the position of Community Connector Team Lead.  The Community Connector is a new and exciting program to Prince George and will provide key services to citizens most in need.  Under the guidance of the Executive director, the Team Lead will be required to lead promotions and research; design policy/procedures, toolkits; provide assistance and guidance to the team, develop and deliver workshops on critical information, efficiently manage the complete cycle of program development and management duties; participate at higher level dialogues, guide staff and service providers to work directly with citizens seeking support.  This position will guide activity monitoring, report & proposal writing and community engagement.

The position is open to applicants who meet the following criteria:

  • Interested in working with people and enjoys supporting communities and individuals
  • Proven history of engaging innovative approaches
  • Past success with the application of client-centered approaches
  • Knowledge of social and poverty issues, challenges and community relationships
  • Experience with interpreting and disseminating Social Development Policy and Procedures
  • Knowledge of and experience with the complete suite of Microsoft Office products.
  • Recent and pertinent experience in dealing with organizations and decision-makers in the public, private, and non-profit sectors.
  • Experience in project management, administration and marketing
  • Must have a completed Social work degree from a recognized university with a specialization in a relevant area of study OR be able to demonstrate clearly a combination of relevant post-secondary education, experience and training.
  • Two letters of reference describing excellent work and personal ethics, professionalism, and the attributes for excellent relations in a team setting.
  • Required:  Valid BC class 5 drivers licence, criminal record check, must be bondable

  • Meeting and group facilitation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational skills.
  • Proven history of social science research and analysis. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to interact with respect and sensitivity to this sector’s clients.
  • A proven track record in using social media tools.
  • Must be able to work independently and be truly self-motivated by social justice values.
  • Capable of managing time and tasks to deliver key components on time.  (Work setting may be away from the main office).

Salary:  $65,000 to $72,000
